My bad. That paragraph reads like Scientology. The matrix as some new 'mythical creation of a sonic soundscape" or whatever. I though it was tounge in cheek like the name change thing or that essay you wrote.

Skobud, I am not a Scientologist, nor do my writings express the views of Scientology.

I never wrote "mythical creation of a sonic soundscape." These are real creations, not mythical ones, and I do see matrixes as "creatures" in the archaic sense of the word.

"Soundscapes," or "sonicscapes," has been appropriately applied here. From Wiki:

"The term 'soundscape' can also refer to an audio recording or performance of sounds that create the sensation of experiencing a particular acoustic environment, or compositions created using the found sounds of an acoustic environment, either exclusively or in conjunction with musical performances."

Matrixes are precisely these "compositions" and are a more integrative soundscape, where there is a greater experience of simultaneous aural reciprocity.

Regarding my name "change", I was earnest about that too, although I wasn't really CHANGING it, just making clear that there is more to my name than HS, since names are important - but I think almost everything in life should be approached with a wink of humor.

And as to the essay? I was using mythological ideas to explain certain aspects of reality. "Myth" and "reality" often go hand in hand.

Whatever hunter - It doesnt matter anyway. My comments were directed at this made up language you use. This half philosophy/mythology angle and half made up science thing you do is really odd and annoying to me. Its like you try to come off as an audio engineer, but anyone that knows anything about sound can tell you are not. You pulled the same shit on that essay and I responded to that too.... Whatever dude - promote your work however you want - I just dont buy it. Especially when you justify it by quoting Wikipedia.

no offense to you Hunter, I'm a fan...but skobud's responses are effin great...it's just him being truthful about what he thinks about matrixes(sp?).

Call my sense of humor juvenile but I was laughing out loud reading the whole exchange...skobud isn't buying anything you're sellin' Hunter...and he doesn't mind telling you.

Honesty can be hilarious sometimes.

"I guess it doesn't matter, anyway-hey......"

What I was hoping you would find more interesting than annoying is my proclivity to "matrix" science, philosophy, mythology, religion and/or whatever. I'm not too privy on keeping things strictly scientific or strictly philosophical/mythological/religious. Science cannot explain many aspects of natural phenomena, so we need to develop language that is not entirely scientific to find a deeper value or meaning behind something or its function. Call it pseudo-science or whatever, but I am extremely comfortable with that.

So, if the language is "odd", that's good and probably means there is something to learn from it. If it's "annoying", then I am afraid you have brought that on yourself for giving it the time of day. Those are brutal scientific facts, Skobud.

I am not an audio engineer in the formal sense - you are correct about that - so I am not trying to present myself as one. I do, however, have ideas about sound and audio production that I feel are valid and are worthy of bringing to the table, especially the GD table. I'll just try to sit further down the table from you so as not to offend.

Grace and peace.

Yours,

Jubal "The Ram" Seamons

Nonsense. Youre nuts. Self defining the English language is a huge indicator in the DSM. You have your own reality and your own language. Excellent. Now Ive seen everything.

I suppose you are uninterested in hearing about the hyperspatial aliens that have a profound influence on my matrix work? They're here. I'm telling you - THEY ARE HERE.
